A special congratulations to the Buffalo Jewish Federation on the recent celebration of its 100th Kindness Suitcase distributed to schools across Western New York!
Sweet Home is especially proud to have been the first school district to partner with the Kindness Suitcase program. Today, two years later, there is a Kindness Suitcase in every Sweet Home library, providing students and staff with books, lessons, and resources that promote kindness, empathy, inclusion, and understanding.
We are grateful to our Sweet Home librarians, who enthusiastically embraced this partnership from the very beginning and recognized the powerful role that stories can play in helping students learn about compassion and respect for others.
Thank you to the Holocaust Education Resource Organization of the Buffalo Jewish Federation for helping us foster a culture of kindness throughout our schools. We are honored to have been part of this incredible initiative from the start! #WeAreSweetHome

Our annual Challenge 2 Change event is a chance for students of all ages to come together around a common theme. This year's theme, chosen by our students, was "Bloom with Kindness: Grow Your Garden". Students and adults alike participated in table and group activities designed to show the importance of teamwork, positive thinking, and being kind to those around you.
This year we heard an inspiring keynote speech from Sweet Home alum Damarion Stone, celebrated Dr. Wilson's last year before retirement, heard poetry from Hy-Deia Elwadi, participated in restorative circles with Candles In The SUN, held group activities, and much more.
Each element of the day is planned, created, and set up by our students. Kudos to them for their leadership and creativity! #WeAreSweetHome
